Book Synopsis

Notebook Nightmares is the symmetrical deconstruction of the traditional graphic novel. This book contains no immediate main characters or plot. Each page is a story onto itself, filled with images for the viewer to digest and interpret. Initial presentation of Notebook Nightmares is one of a tattered and vandalized coil scribbler, appearing as if someone deranged had once owned it or maybe even lost it. Adding further to this illusion are the initial pages, which contain personal notes. Each page thereafter dives deeper into more macabre and sinister imagery. The artwork slowly becomes more intense and realistic, revealing more and more about the mystery artist. This artist slowly evolves to become the primary character. While Notebook Nightmares is a book in its objective form, it is constructed as a work of art. The reader has full control over interpretation.
